Biographical Note
To commemorate the 130th anniversary of the First Presbyterian Church in Cache County Utah,
the Memorial Committee (Dorothy Jones, chair, Linda Burns, Evelyn Falk, Carol Jarvis, Jean Stewart
and Betty Taylor) conducted an oral history project to mark the occasion. A grant from the Utah Humanities
Council/Utah Division of State History (written by Dorothy Jones) supported this effort. Randy Williams,
USU folklore curator and oral history specialist, taught an oral history workshop for the memorial committee
and interested individuals. The oral histories were collected from February 2008-February 2009.
Using the oral histories, and information from the First Presbyterian Church Manuscript Collection at
Utah State University, the Memorial Committee produced The Presbyterian Experience in Cache Valley:
One Hundred Thirty Years of Faith and Service, 1878-2008.
Content Description
The materials in this collection include typed interview transcripts, interview audio on CDs,
interview release forms and a copy The Presbyterian Experience in Cache Valley: One Hundred
Thirty Years of Faith and Service, 1878-2008 produced out of the oral history effort.
